Four Pillars

True Worship. Sound Doctrine. Genuine Fellowship. Evangelism.

True worship goes beyond mere rituals and activities; it is a heartfelt response to God’s nature and His works. It involves recognizing God's holiness, love, and grace. True worship can take place in various forms, including singing, prayer, and sacrificial living. It's a form of expression that emphasizes a personal relationship with God.

John 4:24 KJV God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Sound doctrine refers to the teachings of the Bible that are consistent with the truth of the Gospel. It is essential for spiritual growth and maturity, as it helps believers understand their faith and helps them live according to God’s will. Sound doctrine guards against false teachings and provides a solid foundation for the church’s beliefs and practices.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 NLT All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.

Genuine fellowship refers to the close, loving relationships among believers that reflect the unity of the body of Christ. It involves sharing life together, supporting each other spiritually and emotionally, and encouraging one another in faith.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV) - "And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Evangelism is the act of sharing the Gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ, with others. It is a fundamental responsibility of all believers to spread the message of salvation and to make disciples. Evangelism can occur through personal relationships, community outreach, and various forms of media, emphasizing the urgency of reaching those who may not know Him.

Matthew 28:19-20 NIV Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

What We Believe

The Landing Place accepts the Holy Scriptures as the revealed will of God, the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice, and for the purpose of maintaining general unity, adopts the following statement of fundamental truths:

We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in the Godhead: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His bodily death and resurrection from the dead, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in the blessed hope of His personal, visible future return to receive unto Himself His blood-bought church that it may be with Him forever.

We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin is through the blood of Jesus Christ and regeneration by the Holy Spirit—and this is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.

We believe in baptism in water as a public demonstration of a clear conscience with God.

We believe that the baptism with the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.

We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
